St. Michael Parish School has a variety of activities that nourish our students in mind, body and spirit. With a variety of activities both during and after the school day, our students lives continue to be enriched beyond classroom walls.
Art Spark: This organization travels to schools in the area to teach after-school art programs. When school is not in session, they provide summer, spring and winter art camps where your child will continue to develop and enhance their skills.
Band: Students are given the opportunity to join Band in Grade 4. Both beginning and advanced band (for Grades 5-8) are held after school.
D.A.R.E.: D.A.R.E. provides students in grades K-8 with the skills necessary to recognize and resist pressures to experiment with drugs and to avoid gangs and violence. Lessons emphasize self-esteem, decision making, interpersonal communications skills, the consequences of drug abuse, conflict resolution and positive alternatives to substance abuse.
Math and Reading Enrichment: Math and reading enrichment programs are available to students with additional needs in various grade levels. Students are invited to join this program according to the outcome of their standardized tests and teacher recommendations.
Mustang Serve: This community outreach program is part of the St. Michael Parish Community Outreach Ministry. Several times a year, family-friendly volunteer activities will be coordinated for community service and goodwill.
Scouts: St. Michael offers scouting programs in conjunction with the Girl Scouts of America and the Boy Scouts of America. Scouting is offered to girls (Grades K-8) and boys (Grades 1-5) who wish to participate.
Student Council: Students in Grades 6-8 have the opportunity to run for office as a member of the student council. The student council is responsible for service activities and representing student concerns to the school administration
Youth Choir: Students in Grades 3-8 have the opportunity to be part of the St. Michael Parish children’s choir. This is an evening activity.
